C-MAP ENC+ Service

The perfect solution for today’s mariners, combining official ENCs and C-MAP’s vector charts.

C-MAP ENC+ Service offers global vector chart coverage.

It contains only official ENCs, approved to meet the SOLAS carriage requirements and the ECDIS mandate. In areas where ENC is not available, high-quality vector charts produced by C-MAP are included.

C-MAP is an authorized distributor of ENCs from Hydrographic Offices directly and through Regional ENC Coordinating Centers (RENCs).

The C-MAP ENC+ Serviceis composed of official ENCs, supplemented with high-quality vector charts produced by C-MAP when ENC coverage is not available. The product includes extensive coverage of ENCs from national Hydrographic Offices, ensuring easy access to worldwide coverage of the most authoritative chart data available.


C-MAP ENC+ Service is authorized and complies with all official regulations and requirements related to distribution and usage of official ENCs. An approved ECDIS combined with ENCs from C-MAP ENC+ Service makes paperless navigation possible according to flag state approval.

The C-MAP SENC format

The ENCs are converted by C-MAP to SENC format type approved by DNV, preventing a time-consuming and risky data conversion on board. The main benefit of the C-MAP SENC format is that installation and updating can be carried out in a fraction of the time compared to other formats. The worldwide database is distributed on one single DVD.

Licensing and Updating

C-MAP ENCs can be licensed in four ways: Direct, Dynamic (Pay-Per-View), FlatFee or OpenENC (Pay-As-You-Sail). For details on licensing and updating please see the Licensing page.
